Concern is growing for a man who has gone missing from West Cornwall.

Les Finch was last seen at Praa Sands on Saturday, at around 10.30pm.

His son Simon has now set up a Facebook appeal in the hope of finding his father, who is originally from Essex and had been staying with family on holiday.

Family member Louise Finch said: "He was due to catch the train today with his dad but did not arrive."

Devon and Cornwall Police has since issued an appeal to find Les.

A spokesperson said: "Police are concerned for the welfare of a male in the name of Leslie Finch.

"Leslie Finch, who is 60 years of age, was last seen in the Praa Sands area near Penzance, Cornwall on the Saturday, August 24, 2019. He has not been seen since and family are eager to locate him due to ongoing health issues.

"Leslie Finch was last seen wearing a blue coat and blue jeans with orange and black shoes.

"If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Leslie or if he is sighted, please contact Devon and Cornwall Police, quoting log 343 25/08/2019, on 101 or you can email us at 101@dcpolice.co.uk"

Anyone who has seen him recently or knows where he might is asked to contact Simon Finch, Adam Finch, Joanne Benns or Luke D Finch on Facebook, or the police by calling 101.
