A man has been airlifted to hospital after being dragged from the water at a Falmouth beach earlier today.
Members of the public are understood to have initially gone to his aid at Maenporth, before emergency services arrived just before 11.15am.

Falmouth's coastguard water rescue unit worked alongside the coastguard area commander at the incident.
Also called were the ambulance service, police and Cornwall Air Ambulance, which flew the man to hospital.
Police said the man's condition was not believed to be life-threatening.
