AN incident in Helston this morning caused traffic problems on the A394 road to Penzance.
A man collapsed in the road and South West Ambulance Service Foundation Trust confirmed: "SWASFT was called at 10.04am to a man who had collapsed on Sithney Common Hill, Helston.
“Ambulance teams have treated the patient and taken him on to hospital for further treatment.”
The ailing man collapsed between the B3304 Porthleven road and the B3302 turning for Sithney.
UPDATE at 12.15pm: This incident has now been resolved and traffic is returning to normal.
An accident also occurred at Chiverton Cross roundabout.
The A3075 Newquay road is partially blocked and there is long queues on that road and also on the A30 on the north side of the roundabout.
Traffic is very heavy for much of the stretch of road to Carland Cross.
UPDATE at 1pm: This incident has now been resolved and traffic is returning to normal.
