FALMOUTH Marching Carnival took to the streets on Saturday, with spirits in no way dampened by unpredictable weather.
The day began in the morning with events at the rugby club and, while inflatable attractions had to be cancelled due to the winds, there was plenty of family entertainment on offer, including live music, throughout the day.
The parade itself departed at around 6.30pm, led as always by the famous Falmouth Marine Band.
The route took the procession down Killigrew Street and past The Moor before it headed on through the town.
Every penny raised from the day will go to community groups.
The event was part of Falmouth Week, which began on Friday evening with Pink Wig Night.
The sailing begins today and live music concerts also take place all week, beginning tonight.
