There certainly was wind in the willows, together with heavy rain, when Helston Theatre Company was forced to cancel its performance of a Kenneth Grahame classic this week.

The bad weather meant the cast were unable to perform Thursday's outdoor staging of The Wind in the Willows at Trebah Garden.

However, ticket holders are being given a second chance to see the play, this Thursday instead.

The new performance will take place at Trebah on August 15 at 7.30pm.

Anyone who had tickets to the cancelled performance on August 8 will automatically have their tickets transferred to the new date.

A spokesperson for Helston Theatre Company said: “We were hugely disappointed to have to cancel our performance on Thursday and are sorry for any inconvenience this caused to our hugely supportive followers.

"We are, however, excited to be extending our run further into the summer holiday season and can’t wait to be back at beautiful Trebah Ampitheatre with The Wind in the Willows.”

The performance last night still went ahead as planned.
