Giant LED screen on The Moor

• Featuring free interactive electronic games for up to 30 players. Simply connect to Falmouth_FREE_WiFi, open the gaming screen and start playing.

Simulator on Prince of Wales Pier

Friday 9th August

Pink Wig Ladies Night

• Parade leaves The Moor at 6.30pm

• Biggest Pink Wig Night ever, 1200 tickets sold

• Main event SOLD OUT, no tickets available on the door

• Anyone and everyone is welcome to watch the parade, led by Falmouth Marine Band and Betty Stogs

Saturday 10th August

Comic and Movie Fest

• Lower Stannary at Falmouth University, Tremough Campus. NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE

• 10am – 3pm

• Entry is free but visitors are encouraged to donate what they feel the event is worth

• Organised by and in aid of True Butterflies Foundation, a charity that supports victims of domestic abuse and their families

• Featuring photo opportunities, competitions, exhibitions, stalls, games and special guests including Star Wars Characters and an enormous velociraptor!

• Meet a jedi or have your photo taken with a superhero!

Saturday 10th August

Falmouth Marching Carnival

• Family friendly activities at Falmouth Rugby Club from 11am

• Carnival leaves Falmouth Rugby Club at 6.30pm

• Led through Falmouth by the infamous Falmouth Marine Band

• Every penny raised is donated to local community groups

• Route: Falmouth Rugby Club (departs 6.30pm), Killigrew Street, The Moor, Webber Street, Market Strand, Market Street, Church Street, Arwenack Street, Grove Place before finishing at Events Square

Falmouth Sailing Week

• A tradition for Falmouth Week, each club hosts a day’s racing as part of the week as well as regatta teas for the competitors at the end of each day.

World Famous Action Sports Tour

• A day of displays and have-a-go taster sessions

• Epic displays include the very best of mountain bike trials, freestyle and flatland BMX, skateboarding, mountain bike jump riding, inline skating, freerunning and scooter riding.

Wednesday 14th August

Falmouth Week Air Show

• Falmouth Seafront (Cliff Road)

• 5.45pm – 6.45pm

• FREE

• Subject to weather and CAA approvals

• THREE aerobatic display teams will be flying into Falmouth!

• An hour of breathtaking stunts and exhilarating manoeuvres

• The Blades, AeroSuperBatic WingWalkers and the Strikemaster Pair

• Sponsored by Falmouth Town Council, Falmouth BID, Fal River, Falmouth University, Pendennis Shipyard and Gylly Beach Café.

• Supported on the water by Falmouth Harbour Commissioners.

• Best viewing points include Pendennis Point, all along Cliff Road, Castle Beach, Gyllyngvase Beach, Swanpool Beach and Boscawen Fields.

• Roads in Falmouth Town Centre will be pedestrianised on Wednesday 14th August from 11am to 11pm – no traffic will be allowed through the town.

• Church Street Car Park and Custom House Quay Car Park will be closed all day.

• Falmouth seafront will be closed to traffic from 3pm on Wednesday 14th August

• Use public transport where possible

• The town will be extremely busy on this day, there will be delays especially after the air show so why not head into town to enjoy all that Falmouth has to offer?

Falmouth Week Fireworks

• Watch the fireworks illuminate the inner harbour and skyline.

• Viewing points include all along Falmouth Harbour, Events Square, Custom House Quay, Prince of Wales Pier and the Docks Lookout Point

• Important: display will be postponed to Saturday 17th August if the weather is poor

The Bohemians: A Night of Queen

• Annual quayside service in aid of the RNLI

Dragon Boat Racing

• Falmouth Harbour

• Dragon Boating is a fun filled, adrenaline pumping water sports activity.

• Teams compete in dragon boats which are large canoe-like vessels fitted with ornately carved dragon’s heads and tails.

• Crews of up to 16 people sit in pairs and paddle to compete in multiple timed races over distances of around 250m.

• Each boat has a drummer beating time to keep the paddlers in unison and a professional helms-person in the stern to guide the boat.

• Perfect for all ages and fitness levels!

• Raising funds for Ladies Aloud, in aid of Alzheimer’s Society

• Teams to arrive at 9am

• Racing starts at 10am
