The Fish Factory Art Space brings another world music band to Penryn on Sunday.

Theo Mizu & Banda will be performing for the first time in Britain at the venue in Commercial Road at 8pm. Tickets £5.

Fish Factory Art Space director Rose Hatcher said: “The band's alternative folk style fits well with the diverse projects we present to the public from our venue on a regular basis.

"This will be our first concert since we were given our drinks licence, which many of those who support us will be happy about."

With a mix of eastern and western musical references (Gypsy, Balkan, Arab, Brazilian), Theo Mizú and his band feature an authorial repertoire that is danceable and universal, promising the public a whole journey around the world through music.

Founded in San Paulo, Brazil, in 2018, this band of talented musicians made an immediate impact on the Brazilian festival and outdoor music agenda and in late 2018 won the Best Street Band competition in San Paulo, beating 200 other competitors.

Band leader Theo Mizu is a multi-instrumentalist and has studied many forms of acoustic music from around the world that influence their style of play.
