Falmouth’s Pink Night is nearly here and ready to kick start Falmouth Week on Friday, August 9 with a bang.

Tickets for the ladies-only event sold out over two months ago, even after the team added an additional 200 tickets.

This year will be the biggest and best Pink Wig night ever held, with 1,200 pink wig wearing ladies parading through the town from The Moor at 6.30pm to the marquee at Events Square, for an evening of dancing, Zumba, live music and fundraising.

This year the Pink Wig team are insisting that all participants must wear a pink wig - the clue is in the name!

Sue Morant, publicity officer said: “We wear Pink Wigs in tribute to all the amazing ladies that have gone through treatment, it is in their honour that we wear wigs. No pink hair, no hair dye, just a wig. Please support us in helping to turn Falmouth town pink.”

Once again the parade will be led by the fabulous Falmouth Marine Band, Betty Stogs and our own Pink Wig mascot Mabel Moobs.

All proceeds from the night are divided between Cornwall Breast Care Team and Breast Cancer Now.

The team are delighted that once again representatives from Breast Cancer Now will be travelling from London to show their support and to attend the event.

Pink wiggers are reminded to bring whistles, maracas, and horns to help make as much noise as possible.
