A man was airlifted to hospital last night in a crash that closed part of the A30 for several hours.
It took place place on the westbound carriageway, between the Redruth and Scorrier junctions near Three Burrows.
Highways England described it as a "serious collision" and warned that the road would remain closed for several hours.
Diversions were put in place.
The road has since reopened overnight.
It is understood the man was flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, in the coastguard helicopter.
The collision is understood to have involved a car and a cyclist.
