FINE weather blessed the climax of Penryn Week yesterday evening, as the carnival took centre stage in the town.
Starting at Penryn Rugby Club, local organisations created some weird and wonderful costumes and displays.
The parade made its way along Kernick Road and down Helston Road, past the Guildhall and arriving at the bowling club.
Mayor Chaz Wenmoth was part of the parade and managed to hitch a ride with some Royal British Legion bikers, who gave him a lift on a trike.
A full report and more pictures will appear in the Falmouth Packet on Wednesday.
