Rotary Clubs from across West Cornwall took 120 children and their carers to Flambards in Helston for a day out.

The charitable outing marked the National Rotary Kids Out Day in which more than 60,000 children across the country are treated to a trip courtesy of the organisation.

It was the 27th year that the club took children on a day out to Flambards, who offered free admission and subsidised food and drink vouchers.

Rotarian George Curnow said: "The weather wasn't ideal but at least it didn't rain and a great time was had by all those involved.

"It was a real pleasure to see the happiness on the children's faces as they enjoyed the rides, the attractions and the food provided by Flambards.

"We all look forward to repeating the experience next year."

The children who took part in the day out were pupils of Nancealverne School in Penzance and Curnow School in Redruth.
