FAILING to identify the driver of an Audi A4 accused of an offence has cost a man from Trewennack £811.

Luke Daniel Allen, aged 30, was fined £660 by magistrates in Bodmin, and told to pay £85 costs plus a £66 surcharge, after refusing to give information to police. Six points were also added to his licence.

SPEEDING on the A30 has led to a pensioner from Praa Sands being fined £220.

Richard Baikie, of Praa Sands Holiday Village, must also pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge to the court after be found to break the 70mph limit at Dunheved Bridge near Launceston in a Kia Soul.

Three points were also added to the 75-year-old's licence.

A DRIVER from Falmouth has been left counting the cost of refusing to give information to police.

Robert Augustine MacKnight failed to identify the driver of a BMW M3 alleged to be guilty of an offence and was fined £660 by magistrates in Bodmin.

The 50-year-old, of Duncannon Drive, also had to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge, with six points added to his licence.

A separate charge, of driving above the 70mph speed limit in a BMW M3 on the A30 at Launceston last November 21, was withdrawn.

A PORTHLEVEN man accused of speeding past the same traffic camera twice has been summoned to a full court hearing for trial.

Nicholas William Johnson, of Thomas Terrace, faces two charges of breaking the 30mph limit at Trewennack in a Renault Trafic van on October 28 and November 6 last year.

The 44-year-old also faces two charges of failing to identify the driver of a Renault Trafic alleged to be guilty of offences.

Johnson will stand trial at Truro Magistrates' Court on July 1.

SUMMONS have been issued for a man from Constantine to appear before magistrates in Bodmin on June 12.

Adam Richard Parfitt, of Bowling Green Road, is charged with breaking the 30mph speed limit at Trewennack in a Volkswagen Touareg on November 16.

The 37-year-old is also accused of failing to identify the driver of such a vehicle when asked to by police.

AN ALLEGED insurance offence has been withdrawn for a woman from Helston.

Sheena Ellen Owen, of Grange Road, had been facing a charge of having a vehicle registered in her name that did not meet the necessary insurance.

However, magistrates in Bodmin withdrew the offence and the 33-year-old will face no further action.

A LEEDSTOWN man has been fined for driving without insurance or a licence.

Svajunas Mikelevicius, aged 46, of Pauls Green Farm, admitted committing the offences on February 6 at Zelah in a Volkswagen.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.

His driving record was endorsed with eight points.

EXCEEDING a 30mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a Camborne woman.

Karen Anne Collingridge, aged 56, of Trevenson Street, committed the offence on November 25 in Newquay.

She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

A TRESILLIAN man failed to give information relating to the driver of an alleged offence.

Joseph Nathaneal Foster, aged 36, of Riverside Cottage, has been banned from driving for six months as a result.

He was also fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.
