Children will be able to discover even more about the inhabitants of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek when a brand new area is launched.
The sanctuary will be officially opening its new play area ‘Discovery Cove Playground’ on Monday, which mixes education with fun, allowing children to learn whilst playing.
The sanctuary has invited local families to come and test out the equipment at the launch, with the children able to be the first to experience the new attraction.
The sanctuary has invested £60,000 into the playground, with the hope that children will not only enjoy the play element, but also be able to learn all about the marine environment and more about the seals that they meet during their visit.
A spokesperson said: “We are so excited to launch the ‘Discovery Cove Playground’ and for both locals and tourists to be able to come and enjoy.”
