Minehead EYE, an ambitious Minehead youth project, got a boost last night (Wednesday) when it was promised a quarter of a million pounds to develop is plans.
The project could see a youth centre, cafes, changing facilities, a dance space, and state-of-the-art sound system and DJ booth, alongside a hall which could be home to a removable skate park but could also be used for other sports and activities, including a climbing wall.
Members of West Somerset District Council voted to make the money available subject to the sale of a development site at Vulcan Road in the town.
