Wellington midfielder Greg Hammond suffered a sickening injury as his side went down to their second successive defeat - 2-1 at the hands of Bridport at the Playing Field.
The game was only 15 minutes old when Hammond, just back from a one-week suspension, jumped for the ball near the touchline and landed badly -- breaking his leg in two places.
Proceedings were held up for 30 minutes as an ambulance was called and he was eventually taken to hospital.
But Wellington put that trauma behind them to turn in another decent performance which should have yielded at least a point against a Bridport side, who had notched up six successive victories.
