A YOUNG Taunton man tormented by his father's suicide electrocuted himself in the same bizarre way.
Kelvyn Bartlett, 20, locked himself in his room and attached two electric wires to his wrists connected to a timing device.
The contraption went off at 6am on December 4 last year, killing him by the same method used by his father, Anthony, almost 13 years before.
Kelvyn Bartlett lived with his mother in Denmark Terrace and was a trainee chef at The Gardeners Arms, on Priorswood Road.
At his inquest, West Somerset Coroner Michael Rose described it as the most tragic and bizarre case he had dealt with in over 40 years.
Kelvyn Bartlett had been accepted into the Royal Navy and had been due to start training as an aircraft engineer.
His family described him as a wonderful, loved son "who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him".
