PLANS have been put forward to convert the former British Telecom buildings in The Crescent, Taunton, into 75 apartments.
The application has been submitted by Turner Holden on behalf of StrongVox Ltd and Benjamin-Westrock Ltd.
The plans are to convert most of the U-shaped building, which has stood empty in the town centre for many years, into dozens of one- and two-bedroom apartments over the five floors, while retaining the front section of the building that fronts The Crescent as offices.
The application includes the retention of 8,500 sq ft of office accommodation.
