Helston 65pts Veor 7pts - This was a Cornwall League Two game in which the score line did not reflect the valiant efforts of the opposition.

However, Helston were in such a rich vein of form the visitors were unable to stem the almost one-way tide of points against them.

Helston were able to pick from a virtually full strength squad. This game saw the home debut of Guy Pallett, a recent signing from Penryn. Acting as an effective link at fly-half his control of play gave the home team backs every opportunity to run into space.

The game was effectively over by half-time as the home team were already 27-0 to the good. This gave coach Dave Adams a chance to ring the changes and use the full bench of replacements.

The eventual score was blotted early in the second half when the never-say-die Veor team crossed for their only try. Roared on by the home support, Helston continued to score almost at will and ran away with the game in the final quarter.

Try scorers were wing Matt williams and full-back Ross Williams, who scored two a piece, Matt Jilbert, Ben Lambrick, Martin Mullins, Guy Pallett, James Jenkin and Darren Stanley. Mullins added six conversions and a penalty.
