Taunton Town manager Gary Domone is happy his current squad is good enough to stave off relegation despite losing Antony Lynch and Jason Heath to Toolstation League clubs this week.

Lynch, the club's most prolific scorer of the last ten years, has left to join Dawlish Town while Heath has gone to Bideford, continuing the exodus of players leaving Wordsworth Drive.

Lynch played, and scored in, his final game for the club last weekend which saw them slip to an unfortunate 3-2 defeat at Beaconsfield.

That leaves them third from bottom in the Southern League's Division One (W).

But Domone insists he is happy with what is left and has emphasised he only wants players who want to pull on the shirt.

"I've got every confidence with the players at my disposal," he said.

"Yes, Lynch has gone, but in Aaron Blakemore and Ryan Havard we've got two players more than capable of doing the job.

"Gary Fisher can also play up front so we are covered in that department.

"If players don't want to play for the club, which is what it's all about, I dont want them.

"Losing Heath and Lynch has also freed up some money but I don't want to bring in any more players right now as it unsettles the side."
