Chew Valley 15pts, Chard 38. Chard travelled to Chew full of confidence after their good cup win the previous week, but they were a little apprehensive as Chew Valley had also been in good form following their win against the league leaders the previous week.
Chard started the game poorly, and in the opening minutes, found themselves pinned back in their own half. On six minutes, Chew missed a penalty, but another three minutes later found the mark, giving them an early three point lead.
