NYNEHEAD Parish Council is appealing against a decision to add more villages to its ward on Taunton Deane Council.
The village is currently in the Bradford on Tone ward with Langford Budville and Oake, with one borough councillor representing every member of the community, and the council believes this works very well.
But the Boundary Committee for England is proposing to create a two-member ward instead, incorporating the areas from Bradford-on-Tone to Ashbrittle, which will include Stawley, Milverton, Ashbrittle and Bathealton as well.
