FLAMING beacons will mark the silver jubilee of the Quantock Hills as Britain's first area of outstanding natural beauty on May 9.
Altogether, 50 events are planned throughout 2006 to mark the occasion, including guided walks, talks with guest speakers, a food festival, archaeological events, art exhibitions and family fun days.
