TWO men have died after a head-on crash at Stonegallows Hill, Taunton, late Saturday night.
A 34-year-old man, driving a white Honda CRX, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 32-year-old male driver of the other car, a Ford Escort, was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in a critical condition, where he died on Monday afternoon.
Police were following the Honda after it failed to stop at an earlier accident outside the Crown and Sceptre pub, Priory Bridge Road, Taunton, shortly before 10pm.
The car was seen travelling along Castle Street and failed to stop for police, who then followed it along Wellington Road leaving Taunton on the A38.
