A MAN died and another sustained serious injuries following a crash at Stonegallows Hill, Taunton, shortly after 10pm on Saturday night.
The 34-year-old Taunton man, driving a white Honda CRX,was in collision with a Ford Escort on the A38.
The Honda CRX was being followed along Wellington Road by police, as they wanted to speak to the driver about an earlier car accident in which the car collided with a Nissan Micra outside the Crown and Sceptre pub in Priory Bridge Road.
The driver of the Honda CRX was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 32-year-old Taunton man driving the Ford Escort.
The two women in the Nissan were uninjured but shaken.
