A COUPLE walking in treacherous mud nearly a mile from the Brean shore were flown to safety by Burnham's hovercraft on Saturday.
The Spirit Of Lelaina was training nearby on when a member of the public spotted the couple walking across the mud towards the sea at low tide.
The hovercraft was alerted and as a safety measure scrambled to bring Jack Winsley and Laura Menzies from Droitwich Spa back.
