BUTCHERS in Ilminster have brought home the bacon at from a regional awards ceremony.
Top honours in the British Pig Executive awards went to Bonners The Butchers, of Ilminster, for their Home Cured Gammon Category, while J.W Rowswell, from near Ilminster, won a gold award for their steak and ale pie.
The event took place at the Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster, and more than 110 products were entered into the product evaluation event by 16 butchers from around the South-West.
