A HUNGRY engineer from Combe St Nicholas is putting up a reward after a thief pilfered a pie from the back of his van.

Fearful that his three daughters would devour it if he left it at home, 41-year-old Terry Harris, hid the 12-inch apple pie in his van for safe-keeping.

But pastry-partial pranksters purloined the pie last Wednesday morning and Terry is now looking for the sticky-fingered culprits.

"My mum makes me a pie every week," he said, "and she says she wont make me another one until she gets the dish back. The reward can be discussed when the pie comes back."
