IT might only be September - but Christmas is quickly approaching and the Yeovil Temple Salvation Army will be raising money for the FAST Appeal during the run-up to the festive season.

Members of the Salvation Army return to the Octagon Theatre in December for their annual-sell out Christmas Carol Concert with all donations set to be given to the appeal.

The Salvation Army has been putting on the concerts for many years and raised thousands of pounds for charity. Only last year the concert-goers donated more than £3,000 to the Yeovil Hospice Appeal.

But the Salvation Army's Derek Lush said: "We would like to make the FAST Appeal our main beneficiary this year."

The concerts will be held on Sunday, December 8, at 3pm and on Sunday, December 15, at 3pm and 6.30pm. Tickets are priced £3 for adults and £1 for children and booking is strongly advised.

An allocated number of tickets are available from the Octagon Box Office on 01935-422884 while Derek Lush is dealing with party bookings and those people requiring wheelchair spaces. Please contact Mr Lush on 01935-474928.
