RAIN failed to ruin last Friday's meeting at the Oak Tree Arena, in which Neil Collins celebrated his 25 years of speedway racing.
The meeting was held up for 15 minutes after a crash on the M5, and this lost time was rued when the heavens opened just before heat 6.
The riders just ignored it and got on with entertaining the sizeable crowd. All that was lost was one World Champions' heat, the Collins Clan race and a reserve race. The Rebels coming out on top in the main event to take the £500 prize money.
