WHEN the Highbridge and District Skittles League season started last week, the third division provided the fireworks.
Artillery Arms beat Home Guard by a massive 112-pins at the Bristol Bridge Inn, with Merv Stevens (68) top scoring on this difficult alley. Three of the Home Guard players finished in the 30s, with 40-year-old veteran Jeff Fisher putting three balls through the middle for a duck!
