AMBITIOUS plans to turn a former Burnham nursing home into 45 sheltered apartments have been unveiled.
McCarthy and Stone Developments Ltd are hoping to convert the Allandale Nursing Home at Rectory Road into accommodation for the elderly.
Under the proposals, the apartments would be sold on the basis of a 125-year lease for people aged over 60 and would mainly be self-contained.
