NEW sports facilities at a Chard primary school will ensure standards keep rising, according to head teacher John Stotesbury.
Pupils, parents and staff gathered on Monday to see local MP David Laws officially open Chard Independent School's muti-use astroturf pitch.
Head teacher Mr Stotesbury said: "These days fewer and fewer schools provide the recommended amount of two hours of physical activity per week.
