Bridgwater's famous Carnival will have a brand new look for this year - after one of the biggest changes to the event in decades was announced this week.
The procession - which last year attracted an estimated 150,000 spectators - will make its way around a radically altered route when it takes to the streets again on Friday, November 5.
Traditional Carnival roads, Eastover and Fore Street, have been cut from the route altogether, and instead the parade will wend its way further along Broadway and into St Mary Street, before rounding the Cornhill and rejoining the usual circuit.
