Bridgwater has a "major" drugs problem, according to a coroner who dealt with the inquest on a man found dead of a heroin overdose in the Cornhill public toilets.
West Somerset Coroner Michael Rose demanded that the drug issue in this area must not be "swept under the carpet."
He said the death of 26-year-old Peter Merry last summer had reinforced how drugs can send a person off the rails - leading addicts into a life of crime and prison time, and even taking their lives.
