I REFER to the letter from Inspector Dave Scott, of Falmouth Police Station, in the October 21 edition of the Packet. Far from the Packet having "lost its way," it is the Falmouth Police who have.

If, as he claims, Inspector Scott is "quite prepared to stand up and be scrutinised," he may well like to explain to me, privately or through the letter columns of the Packet, why 12 months ago on Halloween night 2003, his station/officers failed to follow up and even acknowledge a serious break-in, crime/assault that involved a Falmouth resident, a totally blind OAP living alone and attacked in her own home by intruders. This resulted in the lady in question having to spend a protracted length of time, in pain, in both Helston and Truro Hospitals with a crushed (fractured) humerus, displaced shoulder socket, etc, that has necessitated two major operations, the possibility of a third and the loss of the full use of her right arm, a year on from the assault.

This case, Inspector Scott, is a "local issue" and one which Falmouth Police saw fit to just sweep under their carpet.

I've been asking "searching questions" about this disgusting case of police modus operandi, and will continue so to do until I get the real truth.
