TELEVISION celebrity Caroline Quentin helped get the money pouring in as she opened Wellington care home Popham House's fair at the weekend.
Crowds attended the event to see Caroline, start of hit TV series such as Men Behaving Badly and Jonathan Creek, cut the ribbon to open the event, which raised nearly £1,000 for the care home.
The appearance was a favour to her sister, Hazel Jones, who is the manager of Popham House.
The event, which included attractions like cakes and jams stalls and a lucky dip, raised money for the care home's amenity fund. This will be put towards Christmas presents and outings for the residents.
