YOUNGSTERS looking to go trick or treating on Sunday are being urged not to cause mayhem.
West Somerset MP Ian Liddell-Grainger and David Leaf, the curate of St Andrew's Church in Minehead, have joined forces to urge shops in the district to be careful about the amount of eggs and flour sold to young people.
And the police have also issued warnings to encourage trick or treaters not to make Hallowe'en hellish for vulnerable members of their communities.
Mr Liddell-Grainger said the damage to property caused by trick or treaters throwing flour and eggs was unacceptable and called on all shops to be alert in the run-up to Hallowe'en.
