SONG and dance has come to the aid of West Somerset schoolgirl Sophie Clarke.
The Doniford eight-year-old suffers from Sanfilippo disease, for which there is no known cure, and her parents Lisa and Paul are faced with raising £37,000 for an extension to their home in Rangoon Road to provide her with a better quality of life.
Now they have been given a boost thanks to performers from West Somerset who took to the stage at Minehead's Regal Theatre for a fundraising performance.
The show, 'A Song for Sophie', raised a massive £3,400, which was handed over to Sophie and her family this week.
