A FLU jab clinic in Wellington had to be cancelled at the weekend following a nationwide vaccine crisis.
Both Wellington Medical Centre and the Luson Medical Centre are experiencing problems with the shortage of vaccines after national supplies had to be cut when one manufacturer, Chiron, was found to have quality control problems with one batch.
That meant surgeries which ordered the vaccine from Chiron had to find another manufacturer leading to a UK-wide shortfall.
Doctor Kay Porter, from Bulford Medical Centre, which immunises around 2,500 people each year, said: "We have not had a real problem with our supply but we did have to cancel a clinic at the centre last Saturday because of the shortage."
