A drug dealer from Bridgwater has been warned to expect a prison sentence after being caught with a substantial stash of ecstasy tablets at the town's Duke pub.

David Mitchell, who was then living at the former Waterloo Inn, was convicted of two offences of possessing the class A drug with intent to supply at Taunton Crown Court last week. Partner Katherine Sullivan, 26, was also convicted of possession.

Jurors convicted 45-year-old Mitchell after hearing he was caught with 135 tablets in a tin he was carrying, and a further 299 - plus some £1,800 in cash - were found at his home, in Sullivan's handbag.
