STEPHEN Bowens, a lecturer and watersports instructor from Falmouth Marine School, represented England at the Home International Surf Kayak Championships, which were held in Queberon on the south coast of Brittany.
Stephen managed to win both high performance heats he competed in and the ?England team won overall, narrowly beating Northern Ireland by just a few points.
The new season kicks off in February with the next six months being crucial as the England team will be selected for the World Championships in Costa-Rica. It will be chosen from the national ranking positions over that period.
Stephen is also attempting to obtain sponsorship should he be selected for the World Championships and anyone who is interested should telephone him on 0771 3155442
