REDRUTH Sea Angling Association members fished the club's Warren Mitchell annual conger competition over Saturday night and the good run of conger continued.

Members chose a sheltered south coast location and agreed to fish until midnight.

After a slow start members started to catch many small conger to about 10lbs. These are known as whips and were all returned to from when ce they came. As the evening drew on sport became fast and furious with the conger landed gradually becoming bigger.

During one spell junior members Josh Mills and Piran Rowe were landing lesser spotted dogfish, a species of small shark, on every cast. Josh eventually landed a fine specimen of 2lbs 2ozs.
