A GOAL deep into injury time denied Wendron all three points from this Jolly's Combination League clash with newcomers Holmans.
On a heavy pitch and with the wind blowing down the slope, Holmans had the lion's share of possession in the opening half.
However, chances were not that evident as the home side defended with great tenacity.
It wasn't until the 30th minute that the visitors made the breakthrough when Nick Pugliese cut in and slipped a pass to Luke Healan who turned and hit a great 20-yard shot past the despairing reach of goalkeeper Brian Scoffin.
Wendron came into the game as the half progressed and Simon Williamson had a shot on the turn saved by Allan Buckley and a good move saw Craig Martin cross for Simon Williamson to head just over the bar.
Wendron took control in the second half as they pinned the visitors in their own half. Ten minutes after the break the home side were on level terms when Mike O'Neill slipped the ball to Neil Philpott who ran through to score with a fine cross-shot past Buckley.
