The selfless actions of two taxi drivers, their passengers and three off-duty policemen made one rescuer "proud" to come from Burnham after a team effort to help a man left for dead.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, taxi driver Alan Miller, of Custom cars, was driving his passengers from Bridgwater to Burnham when they spotted a man lying motionless in the middle of the A38 road near Pawlett.
