POLICE are hunting a couple believed to be attempting to flood the Wellington and Taunton area with hundreds of pounds in forged notes.
Pubs and businesses have been warned to be on the look out following four incidents involving fake £20 notes since Sunday.
So far, about £500 in forged notes has been recovered, but detectives believe more could be in circulation.
All of the fake notes contain one of the following serial numbers: BK09955761, BK09955775 or BK09955792.
In each case of the notes being passed, a man and woman are believed to be responsible.
The man is described as white and in his 40s with a receding hairline, and the woman, also in her early 40s, has blonde hair.
