A PICTURE-BOOK Exmoor church has been handed a massive £121,000 grant towards major repairs to make the building watertight.
The windfall from English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund will help pay for the complete replacement of both main roofs of St Luke, Simonsbath, toget-her with urgent repairs to the vestry roof, and new guttering and rainwater pipes.
Church warden Robin Ashburner said: "The grant makes an impossible project possible."
