BURGES Meadow gardens at Maundown, near Wiveliscombe, was open on Monday to raise money for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and families Association.
Over 200 people took advantage of the Bank Holiday weather, enjoying a relaxing walk around the gardens and finishing off with a cream tea.
Nearly £550 was raised for the SSAFA, which helps people who have a connection to the services and their families when in need. £250 was also raised through refreshment sales for St Andrew's Parish Church, in Wiveliscombe.
