HUNDREDS of vulnerable people in Somerset are set to lose a crucial lifeline when their daily Meals on Wheels service is axed.
The service has been provided by the Women's Royal Voluntary Service since 1947 and currently serves over 2,400 meals a week in Taunton Deane.
But it will be replaced by a private company delivering fortnightly frozen meals.
For further details about how this will effect people see the Gazette on Friday.
