A HOUSE planned for Mawgan in Meneage by the Diocese of Truro was unlikely to get the go ahead this week from Kerrier council planners.
The diocese had applied for the property adjacent to Gleve Close and planners met on site to discuss the development.
But in a site panel report to planning committee members yesterday, Tuesday, it is suggested the application be refused because it is contrary to policy.
The site is within an area of outstanding natural beauty and outside the village development area. The current rectory is within the village, but it has poor access, a large garden and needs updating.
A new rectory was needed and there was support for it, the site panel were told.
