POLICE have been called to make an example of law breaking drivers in a Chard street.
At Monday's meeting of Chard Town Council, motorists who unlawfully drive out of the lower end of Combe Street into Fore Street were given a thorough slating by councillors.
They were responding to concerns from Combe Street resident Paul Richardson, who spoke during public question time to say drivers speeding down the hill towards the town centre were putting children and other motorists in danger.
